Arts performances
Arts Performances visit Kalamia State School throughout the year. These touring programs are designed for primary school students and all link to the school curriculum using an interactive style which promotes ‘The Arts.’ These performances are engaging and students enjoy participating in them. Students may also be involved in attending performances at various locations, for example Burdekin Theatre and other schools in our region.
Gardening and Cooking Thyme
Gardening and Cooking Thyme is run twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays respectively by our Student Council and Staff. Both Gardening and Cooking Thyme is available to all students to participate in. Activities include planting, weeding, watering, mulching gardens and painting sea creature pictures around drains to remind students not to throw litter down them as it will eventually end up in the ocean.
