Kalamia State School’s vision is for our students to become confident, respectful, positive and independent lifelong learners. Through a positive and engaging educational setting, students from Prep to Year 6 are supported to develop collaborative and problem solving skills.

Our school prides itself on the standard of behaviour exhibited by our students. It is an expectation that staff and students model the school wide core values of:

  • Be Respectful
  • Be Safe and
  • Be a Learner

both in and outside of the classroom and while participating in co- and extra-curricular activities.

Within our school’s core values, Kalamia State School encourages and supports students to develop interpersonal principles such as:

  • honesty,
  • fairness,
  • responsibility,
  • support,
  • operation,
  • acceptance of differences,
  • respect,
  • friendliness and
  • inclusion.

Collectively, these principles are designed to maintain the high standards of behaviour and assist with the development of life-long learners who are well-mannered and contributing members of our community.

Kalamia State School provides all students from Prep to Year 6 with high quality educational experiences through the implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework, fidelity driven delivery of the Australian Curriculum and meaningful participation in a range of extra-curricular activities that promote the schools common core values.
